Summer 2010 Programme
Welcome back to another exciting term at Cubs! I hope everyone is looking forward to lots of fun getting out and about, doing all the things that we enjoy during the long summer evenings. We have all sorts of fun things planned for this term, so try not to miss anything! Our currently envisaged Programme is shown below – but please be aware that it might sometimes be necessary to change our plans for reasons beyond our control.
A couple of points: Firstly, for the meetings taking place after half-term (starting from the beginning of June) Cubs will not have to wear uniform (unless we say otherwise), but must wear their scarves (once invested), and OLD clothes and trainers, as we are going to be spending as much time as possible outdoors. Also, to allow us extra time for our activities, and to make the most of the light evenings, please note that we will be finishing at 8 pm (rather than 7.45 pm) just for this term (and on 14 July we will finish at 8.30 pm – just this once).
Also, we have two great camps in prospect for this summer, and will be sending out information on these soon, but please note that we will be requiring LOTS of parental help with these, otherwise the Camps simply will not happen. So, parents: please start thinking now about whether you would prefer to help with setting up / striking camp, food preparation, cooking, or more general helping out behind the scenes. Thanks!
Akela
